On top of an orchestra experience, our Summer Orchestra Academy students get the experience of playing in small ensembles, called chamber groups — an experience that most young musicians don’t get until college.

Chamber music pushes every student just a little further into their musicianship journey, since there’s no other player in your part to hide behind! Challenging? Yes, but in the best, most supportive environment you could hope for 🎶🎻 The growth these young musicians see in such a short time is wild! ☀️

If your kid looks at you like this when you ask them to practice their instrument during summer break, chances are they’d be happy to practice… IF they felt like they had something worth practicing for! Sometimes, a little external motivation with the right music, the coolest friends, and good teachers is all you really need 🎶

That’s why we built VCA’s Summer Orchestra Academy: to keep our kids engaged in both music and the community during the summer — with a heaping side of fun 😁

Welcome To Rockville celebrated its 15th anniversary from May 7-10, 2026, at the Daytona International Speedway, attracting a record-breaking 210,000 music fans. The four-day event featured over 160 bands across five stages, headlined by massive performances from Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon, and My Chemical Romance. Notable highlights included Breaking Benjamin debuting their new single "Something Wicked" and introducing touring drummer Brian Medeiros, while DragonForce performed for the first time with new co-vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. Godsmack also introduced their new drummer, Wade Murff, and Ice Nine Kills staged the first-ever performance of "Twisting The Knife" featuring special guest MAPHRA and the Volusia Community Orchestra.

The festival kicked off with the inaugural Blood4Blood bare-knuckle fighting event, which featured a match between Slaughter to Prevail frontman Alex Terrible and Cameron “The Bull” Delano alongside performances by Black Label Society and Crowbar.

Onsite enhancements for 2026 included a fully tented Garage Stage and the introduction of The Pit Stop for intimate artist performances. Beyond the music, the event supported mental health awareness through the Wellness Lounge and generated an estimated $80 million in regional economic impact. Dates for the 2027 festival are expected to be announced soon.
