Over the course of the football season, we meet on Monday evenings to hear great speakers, to socialize and dine with them, and to meet sports fans in our own community who share these same interests.

The Daytona Beach Quarterback Club mourns the passing of a true icon, Coach Lou Holtz. While the world knew him as a National Champion and Hall of Famer, we were privileged to know him as a guest who graced our stage with his incomparable wisdom and wit.

Coach Holtz didn't just teach football; he taught us about "Trust, Commitment, and Love." His visits to Daytona Beach left a lasting impact on our members, reminding us all that "it’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it."

Rest in peace, Coach. Our thoughts are with the Holtz family. 🏈🙏

And that's a wrap! Our 2025 season ended with an incredible final meeting on November 10th, and what a great way to end, with Shane Matthews as our guest speaker and a full house!

As always, BIG congratulations to all Players of the Week!

A huge thank you to all the coaches, parents, speakers, sponsors, members, and supporters who made this season unforgettable. Let's not forget to thank Daytona Grande Oceanfront Hotel and their wonderful staff for hosting us each week!

Last Monday, November 3rd was an incredible night with our special guest, Jevon “The Freak” Kearse! 🏈

The former Florida Gator and NFL legend shared amazing stories from his college days, his record-breaking rookie season with the Titans, and what it takes to dominate on the defensive line. His energy and insights reminded us why he’s one of the most feared pass rushers in NFL history!

We are honored to end the season with legendary Florida Gators quarterback and NFL veteran, Shane Matthews as he shares stories from his time under Coach Spurrier, his journey through the pros, and his insights into the game today. A true Gator Great, Shane brings passion, experience, and a deep love for football that you won’t want to miss.

Tom brought energy, insight, and inspiration to the room, sharing stories that resonated with fans and football lovers alike. From his unique perspective on leadership to memorable moments from his career, it was a night to remember.

During week 6, we were honored to have Daytona Beach's very own Mike Smith as our guest speaker!

Mr. Smith delivered an inspiring talk filled with leadership lessons, behind-the-scenes NFL stories, and powerful insights on building a winning culture, both on and off the field.

It’s bye-week for the DBQBC but we’re not hitting pause on the fun! Let’s rewind to Week 5 and relive the electric energy brought by none other than Danny Kanell! He lit up the room with his insights, charisma, and unforgettable presence and we soaked up every second he was with us.

And, WOW!! Week 4 did not disappoint! We had the legendary Marc Daniels in the house, and he definitely brought the heat! 🔥 From unforgettable locker room stories to those electric championship calls, Marc gave us a behind-the-scenes look like no other. Truly, THE VOICE OF UCF!

Not only did we have Marc Daniels to share the night with, we also gifted bikes and celebrated the local youth!

Players of the Week... Congratulations!!! You deserve all the good things, keep going!!!
