Today our volunteers will be in the Elkton area completing a subflooring project. Please pray for a safe work day for our volunteers and their hands and talents will be guided to complete the project. Thank you to Brian for going out to the project site to get measurements and what areas of the home flooring need an upgrade. Thank you to Barbara Bailey for providing lunch for our volunteers.

The monthly Rebuilding Hope Board Meeting was held on Monday, August 17, 2026. Thank you Scott for opening our meeting with a prayer. There was a review of the Treasurer's Report. The discussion of the meeting was focused on planning projects for August, September, and October. This coming Saturday, August 22 will be a subflooring project and the other two months will be building ramps on September 26 and October TBA. We are also searching for an Associate Director which was previously held by Pastor Sarah. Our next meeting will be Monday, September 26.

As you know we have a monthly project on the fourth Saturday. Our volunteers also complete smaller projects at other times. This is the case last Saturday, August 15. A neighbor reached out to us about his mailbox needing to be secured. We are so thankful Ronnie, Scott, and Dale were able to donate their time, secure materials, and use their talents to make sure the homeowner's mailbox is secured to the ground. Today the Robert Cramer Family is in our prayers as they lay to rest their mother and grandmother, Betty Cramer. The Cramer Family is the heart of Rebuilding Hope and the many ways they have contributed to the ministry of home repairs is immeasurable. We send our love to them today and the days to come as they navigate a life without Betty.

Our monthly board meeting was held on Monday, July 20. The meeting was opened with a prayer followed by the treasurer's report and a review of June meeting minutes. The main focus was on applications for home repairs. For July we will be helping a church member. We have upcoming projects involving subflooring and deck repairs. Next board meeting is Monday, August 17 and Saturday, August 22 will be our monthly project date.

As many of you already know Pastor Sarah will be getting married later this week and moving to Suffolk. We pray many blessings as she and Mark begin a new life together. Her passion, talents, and insights for Rebuilding Hope are immeasurable. From being our associate director, substitute board secretary, project photographer, countless hours to our annual dinner and auction, and volunteering at almost all monthly projects. We were blessed also to have her sister acquire numerous items for our fundraising auctions and her parents donate and deliver delicious food to our project sites. Thank you again, Pastor Sarah!
