‼️Heads up! We are going on an agricultural tour next summer to Italy and France! ‼️

We are looking for students ages 13-19 who have an interest in learning more about agriculture in other countries.

We have an interest meeting NEXT WEEK to provide more information. The meeting is May 5 at 6 pm in the Ag Department at Turner Ashby.

Today Mrs. Simmons’ Ecology classes went canoeing on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River! Everyone learned a lot about water quality, macro-invertebrates, and local wildlife. We were also so excited that Jackie Lohr was able to join us! 🌲🦆🎣🛶

🏆Congratulations to our two teams who competed in the Local Envirothon contest today at Hillandale Park!

🏆Team A consisted of Maddie Hylton, Cate Hinegardner, Parker Young, Kaylen Hoover, and Reece Kiracofe, and will be advancing to the Area Contest on April 28th.

🏆Team B consisted of Parker Harold, Ty Cyzick, Lucas Hunt, Leah Cale, and Brynna Michael-Lee.

After our pork processing day yesterday, we have some items available for the suggested donation prices:

Ponhaus (about a 2lb pack) - $6
Lard pack - $5
Quart bag of cracklins - $5
Half tenderloin (around 3lbs) - $10
1 lb sausage - $7

All orders will be first come, first serve. I will have everything available for pick up at the ag department today until 3:00.
