Friends, supporters, vendors and event staff, our final meeting is this evening at 7pm at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds. Please attend to get details and coordination information for the event. If you're unable to attend, PM the page!

A week away from today we'll know if we'll be able to help more Veterans in the area. Without your support we can't do it. So far since last year we've been able to help by
: getting handicapped ramps built
: repaired 2 bathrooms
: repaired a leaking roof
: purchased a new scooter for a disabled Veteran so they could remain independent
: caught up rent to prevent eviction
: caught up a vehicle payment so they could continue working
: helped to purchase a portable AC unit in the hottest part of the summer until theirs could be repaired
and that's not all. It's just a few ways we as volunteers are making the best use of the funds given to us to help Veterans in the Valley. Please come out September 27th to join us. Cars, trucks, vans, and anything you want to join in with us on the ride is welcome.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended at Lil' Gusses this evening. We took in $222 from our host, raffle prizes and 50/50. All going to help local Vets at 100% and NO overhead.

Tell us why we should help Valley United For Vets when there are programs out there for Veterans? One, because we have no overhead, we are all volunteers that do this out of compassion and we care about our Veterans in our communities. Two, we have the capacity to fulfill requests within days, not weeks or months. Just ask the several Veterans we have helped to keep their homes from foreclosure, had their back rent paid to keep them from eviction, kept their vehicle from repossession, built handicapped ramps when recently confined to a wheel chair. Three, no request is too small. During the hot summer we helped a Veteran in need of a portable AC unit while his landlord struggled to get his unit scheduled for repairs. We fill the gaps in the system and with the help from Salute of Virginia, our goal is to make sure our Veterans are not forgotten.

So when we ask to attend an event, purchase a Tshirt, or ask for donations, please know every dollar is tracked and accounted for. We are a 501c3 and with our Partnership with Salute of Virginia our intentions are always putting Veterans first.

We sincerely appreciate your support and hope that you can continue to help us provide the support our Veterans need.

We are excited to roll out one way you can help show your support not just in one day, but throughout the year. These t-shirts show your support and all the proceeds go directly to help local Veterans. Valley United For Veterans has no overhead, no salaries, and is all done voluntarily. The date is set, the food vendors are anxiously waiting, the musicians are ready to play and we want you to attend our 2nd Annual Event to help local Veterans here in your community. Cars, trucks, and military vehicles are welcome to join our motorcycle community ride together to show our support.
