πŸ’œ October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month πŸ’œ

This month, we stand together to raise awareness, support survivors, and remind our community that no one deserves to experience abuse.

Domestic violence can happen to anyone. Speaking up, listening without judgment, and knowing how to connect someone with support can make a difference.

πŸ’œ You are not alone. You are worthy of safety, respect, and support.

πŸ“ž Our hotline, 503-623-4033, is available 24/7 to provide confidential support and resources. If you or someone you know needs help, reach out anytime.

Congratulations to the winners! These are stunning! ❀️

πŸ’œ What is Elder Abuse?

▫️ Elder abuse is a pattern of power and control that includes physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, verbal, financial, and spiritual abuse.

▫️ The perpetrator can be a family member, close friend, neighbor, adult child or grandchild, caretaker, someone in a position of authority, or anyone the older adult would normally be expected to trust.

▫️ Elder abuse can happen in homes, nursing homes, long-term care and assisted living facilities, and hospitals.

Together, we can create a community where every senior feels safe, valued and supported. πŸ’œ
