Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for National Night Out! We truly appreciate the opportunity to spend the evening with our community, meet so many great people, and connect with families, neighbors, and local partners.

Your support, conversations, and enthusiasm made the event a great success. Events like National Night Out help strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community we proudly serve.

A special thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors, community organizations, and everyone who helped make the evening possible. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

🎉 Congratulations to Amtrak Cascades on their beautiful new Airo trainsets! They’re looking so great as they’ve been testing between Vancouver BC and Eugene. We can’t wait for them to be in service!

📸 When admiring or taking photos and/or videos of the new Airo trains as they go by or pull in to the stations, it’s a good time to remember to always be safe:

🟡 Stay behind the yellow platform lines.

🦶🏻Always be at least 25 feet away from the rail.

Today, we met with the Milwaukie Police Department to thank them for their efforts in stoping track tragedies. We look forward to continuing to partner with them to keep their community safe. Thank you for having us today!

🇺🇸Happy Independence Day! As we all celebrate America’s 250th birthday, let’s all practice making safe choices.

🛤️ Always stay at least 25 feet away from any tracks. No set of fireworks is worth the risk!

👀 Always LOOK BOTH WAYS before crossing tracks and only cross at designated crossings.

🙅Trespassing on railroad property is illegal and dangerous! It is not to be used for hanging out or as a shortcut.

🚂ALWAYS expect a train, at any time, on any track, from any direction. Railroads still run on holidays, as they help this country move along!

🎆 Be safe. Have fun and remember that if you see tracks, think train! Happy Fourth of July!
