Thanks so much to EVERYONE for helping make NICU bags 2021 happen. This year the bag goodies impress me once again:
Handmade blankets by Michelle Mahana
Hats and burp clothes by Abby McCourt
Treats from Teresa Wooten and Tiffany Wooten
Books from Jennifer Samp-Hasbrouck
Hand sanitizers from Jeannie Scott
Chapsticks from Summer Rohde
Beauty supplies by Mary Robeson
And Kyle and I added in socks, journals, gum, coffee mugs, hair ties & scrunchies, nail files, and make up bags.
The little stockings have $30 gift cards that were so generously covered by all of your donations. Not pictured are more treats from Anna Starker May and a big bag of sleep sacks donated for the NICU. We also made a little treat basket for the NICU nurses to say thanks for physically delivering our bags.
Kyle and I and the kids will be driving the bags down to Eugene on Wednesday. Please pray for the families in the NICU. Today makes 14 years since I was rushed by ambulance to Eugene where I stayed on bedrest for a week before delivering my baby boys. It’s never lost on me how in that time nothing about the hustle and bustle of our traditions for Christmas mattered…just my babies. I can’t imagine how much this pandemic has impacted families that are experiencing NICU stays. Thank you so much for blessing our family so we can do this to bless others. It makes my heart swell knowing we can do this in memory of our Jackson and honor of Bronson and Ashley. This truly shows how much a little idea of the heart can explode. You all seriously rock my world. Never under estimate how much your $30 donation can mean to a small organization. For 13 years I’ve been able to do this because of you!!! Merry Christmas!
