The legacy of hunting extends beyond the harvest. Special moments happen while walking the property together, from hanging a stand to teaching someone else to read the rhythms of nature and change of seasons. There’s a responsibility that must be understood when spending time outdoors.

Every hunting license purchased this fall is part of next year’s conservation budget.

License fees and excise taxes from hunters fund the majority of state wildlife agency budgets. The surveys, habitat restoration, and public land management conducted by state wildlife agencies keeps wild places protected.

Conservation funding matters most when you can see exactly where it goes—and the impact it creates. 🦏

Through DSC Foundation’s support of the Rhino Momma Project, funding has been put to work in three critical areas:
👉🏼 Supplemental feed to maintain the health and condition of white rhino
👉🏼 Camera traps for discreet, effective monitoring across the reserve
👉🏼 Continued operation of the Anti-Poaching Unit protecting rhinos around the clock

The result is stronger protection, healthier rhinos, improved monitoring, and greater support for the people working every day to safeguard this iconic species.

This is what conservation in action looks like: putting resources directly into the hands of those doing the work on the ground and creating measurable impact for wildlife and the communities surrounding it.

Conservation’s future depends on who we prepare to lead it.

As a DSC Foundation grant recipient, Texas Brigades is investing in the next generation of conservationists by equipping adolescents with leadership skills and hands-on knowledge in wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship.

Through education and real-world experience, these young leaders are becoming conservation ambassadors—prepared to carry forward a legacy of responsible wildlife and natural resource management.

DSC Foundation is proud to support organizations like Texas Brigades that are building the knowledge, leadership, and commitment needed to ensure conservation has a strong future.

Labor Day denotes the unofficial end of summer. But our work protecting the land and species we care about doesn’t take a holiday.

From the bighorn range in Mexico to grizzly country in North America to elephant landscapes in Botswana, this community funds the science and the humans who keep wild places wild, together, year-round.

We’re grateful for every hunter, donor, and conservationist who makes that possible.

We’re proud to support the Rhino Momma Project and the work being done to secure a future for white rhinos in Namibia.

At the heart of the project is one of Namibia’s largest white rhino breeding programs, working to grow populations through successful breeding while protecting rhinos through anti-poaching efforts and strengthening their future through conservation education.

Every new calf represents more than a number—it represents progress, possibility, and another step toward ensuring white rhinos remain part of Africa’s wild landscapes for generations to come.
