Day 3 of our Community Outing Series is all about our amazing Pathfinders group! ☀️🎳🌳

Last week, they did ALL the things, from exploring local parks and cooling off at the splash pad to striking up some fun at Main Event bowling! We love creating opportunities for our campers to build friendships, try new experiences, and make incredible summer memories along the way.

One of our camp groups had a blast exploring Bentwood Park! From playground adventures to spending time with friends, community outings like these create opportunities for connection, movement, and LOTS of fun. 💛

This week, we’ll be highlighting some of the many community outings our campers have been enjoying at ISW Summer Camp 2026!

Last week, our Trailblazers group headed out on four exciting adventures, including a trip to the Plano Aquatic Center and a beautiful nature walk. From splashing in the water to exploring the outdoors, our campers are building friendships, practicing life skills, and making unforgettable summer memories along the way.

Yesterday was our FIRST day of ISW Summer Camp 2026, and what a way to kick off the summer! ☀️💛

Our staff started the summer in matching yellow camp shirts, ready for adventure, while our campers jumped right into a day full of fun. Day one included NINE field trips across the community, with groups exploring local parks, cooling off at Plano Aquatic Center, hiking nature trails, visiting the Heard Museum, and making memories all across DFW!

The smiles, laughter, excitement, and joy were everywhere. It feels so good to have our building filled again with campers, incredible new staff, many familiar faces returning for another summer, and amazing volunteers who help make it all possible.

We cannot wait to see what the next eight weeks have in store!

We only need 20 more AirTags!!!! If you would like to support our summer camp safety efforts, we would be SO appreciative. We have an Amazon wishlist with new ones if you do not have old ones to donate! We have also found a 5 pack at Sam’s Club if you are member. ♥️

We are looking for donations of both NEW and USED Apple AirTags for our summer campers at It’s a Sensory World! 💙

Safety is one of our highest priorities, especially during community outings, transitions, and field trips. AirTags help provide an extra layer of support and peace of mind for our staff and families as we care for children with high support needs.

Have an old AirTag sitting in a drawer? We would LOVE to give it a second life.

Before donating a USED AirTag, please make sure it has been removed from your Apple ID:

1. Open the “Find My” app on your iPhone
2. Tap the “Items” tab
3. Select the AirTag you are donating
4. Scroll down and tap “Remove Item”
5. Follow the prompts to completely remove it from your account

You can also factory reset it by:

• Pressing down on the stainless steel battery cover and rotating counterclockwise
• Removing the battery
• Replacing the battery and pressing down until you hear a sound
• Repeat this process 5 times until you hear a different sound on the final reset

We celebrated our last day with water day fun, snowcones, and the sweetest bubble send off for our amazing kiddos! Watching our students grow this year has been such a gift. From communication milestones to confidence, friendships, regulation, independence, and everything in between… we are SO proud of each and every one of them.

Thank you to our incredible staff and families for making this year so special. The growth we see happens because of the village surrounding these kids every single day.

Now… let the summer fun begin ☀️ We cannot wait to see so many familiar Academy faces back for camp, and we are officially counting down the days until we welcome all of our campers for Summer 2026!!!

Alex brings so much joy, patience, and love into our Elementary 3 classroom each and every day.

Whether she’s celebrating big wins, supporting our students after school, or taking the CUTEST selfies with our kiddos, she makes every child feel so seen and cared for.

Her heart for our students goes far beyond the classroom walls, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our ISW family. We hope your day is filled with all the matcha, laughter, and love you deserve, Alex!! ☀️✨

Such a special day celebrating our incredible students at our End of Year Awards Ceremony! 💙

Each class watched a fun slideshow created by their teachers, filled with memories from the year, and every student received special awards celebrating their growth and accomplishments. We loved having our parents and families join us as we came together as an ISW community to celebrate all the progress, joy, and hard work from this school year.

So proud of our students and so grateful for the amazing village surrounding them!

Summer Camp 2026 is almost here, and we are looking for amazing volunteers to help us make this the BEST summer ever at It’s a Sensory World! ☀️

Whether you want to help in classrooms, assist during water days, join us as a field trip buddy, heat press tshirts, or help prep our spaces for camp over the next two weeks, we would absolutely love to have you involved.

Please feel free to share this with friends, family, coworkers, students, or anyone who may be interested in volunteering with us this summer!

A few important details:
• Volunteers must be 16 years or older
• A local background check will be run upon check-in at ISW
• Please bring a government-issued ID
