Founded on principles of Science, Education, and Leadership, Gailey Environmental brings hands on 36-Hour Wetland Delineation Training to several regional locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia multiple times a year.
Gailey Environmental offers 36-Hour Wetland Delineation Training consistent with United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wetlands Delineation Manual (Environmental Laboratory, 1987), and in accordance with the applicable USACE Regional Supplement for wetland delineations. Taught by a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), this course will incorporate an equal mix of class and field time that will include basic vegetation identification, detailed review and discussion of wetland hydrology and hydric soil indicators, and proper completion of a Wetland Determination Data Form. This course is intended to provide all attendees with a fundamental understanding of wetland delineation and the proper demarcation of wetland boundaries. The concepts and skills learned during this course can be applied to project-related delineations. This course is pre-approved for 2.6 semester hours towards the Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Wetland Scientist Certification Program.
All courses are taught in our region, by Adam Gailey, MS, PWS, who lives and works in our region. For nearly 20 years, Adam has worked in the environmental consulting industry and has conducted hundreds of aquatic resource investigations, including stream and wetland delineations, with a committed focus on the proper identification and documentation of resources. Adam believes in hard work, education, striving to be a positive influence and fostering strong professional and personal relationships.
