Riverview schedule!

Hi folks. Our normal meeting schedule is the second Tuesday of every month. This month, that would place our meeting on the day after Labor Day and we have several folks that have conflicts. To accommodate as many people as possible, we are moving both the Sept and Oct meetings back a week. The new meeting schedule is:

Sept 15 at 6:00
Oct 20 at 6:00.

Please pass this on to others. The Oct 20 meeting is our annual board election so please come join us.

And…just to keep everyone’s attention, these are some of the new HVAC units being installed this week! Cool (in summer)! Plus, our new bathroom floor tile arrived!!

Riverview Rising!

Now we are getting into some seriously cool work. Cody Garn and the team at Peak started installing new HVAC today. This is the 4th and best heating system in the history of the facility. Stay patient! Electric work starts soon.

Also please take note of the wonderful flowers on the river side of the buildings!

Once again, this Saturday starting around 8:30am, Ashe Outreach will be giving away some tasty meats, vegetables, fruit and eggs. You don’t want to miss out, so come on down to Riverview at 11719 NC Hwy 88W, Creston. This will be a drive through so you don’t need to get out of your vehicle. You can pick up for yourself and one other family. Our phone number is 336-385-1314 if you have any questions.

Riverview Rising.

If you pay us a visit today, you’ll notice that the two bathrooms across from the gymnasium are being renovated. We are getting a fresh coat of paint in them this week but we will finish before Fridays fish fry. We have ordered new flooring, sinks, countertops, partitions, etc. Given some long lead times, we will likely be working on and off for 4-6 weeks.

Patience please! This is just one more step towards a full recovery!

Hi Riverview!

Free insulation. It is used but most is usable if you need it for a garage or other area. First come first served. It is on the West side (highway) of the building on the ramp.

It's Tuesday and you probably know what that means. In case you don't, it means we have received our 60 bags of nutritious, delicious vegetables thanks to Second Harvest's Farm Fresh Nourish program. Come on down and get yours. We are located at 11719 NC Hwy 88W, Creston. Our number is 336-385-1314. Our food pantry is open Tuesday through Thursday, 9am-2pm. You can receive a bag of produce weekly.

Riverview Demolition!

The chaos begins. Today, we started the removal process for old ceiling tiles and insulation. Thank you to Marc Waddell, Tammy Keys and “The Cajun” for taking on this dirty job.

Over the next 4+ months, we will be in major construction mode. I’ll keep you posted here but if you want all of the detail, come to the community gatherings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The next one is August 11 at 6:00pm.
