Riverview Rising!

Yesterday was a huge step forward in our recovery. Blue Ridge Energy placed our new transformer behind the gym. New wiring will commence throughout the building. We are expecting to be complete later this year.

And…for those that don’t find core infrastructure interesting, the new carousel arrived too!!

Riverview Partners!!

Even though our building will be in a state of repair for the next several months, we continue to build partnerships that are beneficial to our community.

Our very own Fawn Roark, who went to school at Riverview, is a counselor / therapist for Jodi Province Counseling (JPC). She will be at RCC on Wednesdays offering counseling services.

JPC has 6 offices in NC including an office in West Jefferson. Fawn lives in the Creston area and will be available for individual, child, or family counseling at Riverview.

JPC accepts most insurance including Medicaid. Give JPC a call at 336 818 0733 and schedule time today!

Counseling Services, mental health, and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults, family. Local services for the foothills region of NC.

Riverview Pallets!

We have had a large volume of deliveries lately and have accumulated a bunch of pallets. Come and get them! Free! Free! Free!

If they are still here next week, they will go up in smoke!

Riverview Easy Volunteer Opportunity!!

We have over 100 trees freshly planted along the riverbank. They need water regularly. We have placed five full buckets along the bank. All you have to do is water some (or all if you are feeling ambitious!) of the trees, refill the bucket from the river and put it back. Adopt a group of trees or adopt a bucket. Just make sure to refill the buckets before you leave.

There is no tracking as it would be difficult to over water these young trees in the summer. Thanks to all that pitch in and help.

Riverview Progress!

Yep, we are still at it. Today we are putting up the smoke detectors in the gymnasium. Yesterday, we made a lot of plumbing progress. Stay tuned for more!

Riverview Monthly Get Together. A work in Progress!

Riverview Progress Part 2

These fine folks are from Lowe’s in Boone. They planted 120 trees today and then helped tear out the weeds and shrubs in front of the building so we can replace the septic pipe. Thank you to Chris Reynolds - Manager of the Boone Lowe’s - for allowing his team help us today!
