Riverview Progress Part 2

These fine folks are from Lowe’s in Boone. They planted 120 trees today and then helped tear out the weeds and shrubs in front of the building so we can replace the septic pipe. Thank you to Chris Reynolds - Manager of the Boone Lowe’s - for allowing his team help us today!

Riverview Progress Part 1

This is now one of my favorite pictures of our recovery. The crew started to cut up the old furnaces and I just caught him as he lit the torch. We are still tracking to finish up this week.

Riverview Rising!

Work on cleaning out the basement has begun!! (I held my breath for the picture of the guys removing asbestos!). Work will be complete this week.

Riverview Construction!

Monday will be a very busy day. We will start removing all contents from the basement including the steam pipes, coal furnace, and oil burners. We will have workers on a scissor lift in the gym to install smoke detectors, and we will have a plumbers installing two water heaters! Whew!

We’ve restricted some spaces behind the buildings so please stay clear of the crane if you need to park. Thank you for your patience as we rebuild.

Riverview Power!

This isn’t as exciting to most of you as it is for the board but this is the cleared location for our new electric transformer pad! It will be installed before the end of June.

Riverview Reconstruction!

We pulled our two old broken water heaters this morning. The new ones are already here and will be installed soon (right after I paint behind them!).

If you want the old ones for scrap value, first come first served. They go to the landfill on Friday.

Riverview Opportunity!

As many of you know, our new gym came with two pickleball nets. Some of you may be saying “I would sure like to learn how to play pickleball!”

June is your lucky month! Our very own pickleball fanatic, Cindy Price has offered to teach, coach, and play pickleball with groups on Tuesday evenings in June. Starting June 2 at 6:30, the gym will be open for pickleball lessons with Cindy!

We can have 12 people sign up for each lesson. Please let Cindy know which days you’d like to be there. You may sign up for multiple days or even all days. This is on a first come basis. No need to have paddles or balls. RCC has plenty. Dates are:

June 9
June 16
June 23
June 30

Riverview Growing!

Weeds! Our flowers are beautiful but we have some weedy plants trying to take over.

Time for a workday!

Please join us on Monday May 18 at 9:00am for a day of friendship and sweat. We will be clearing some of the flowerbeds and maybe even putting in some new flowers!
