PMP is a coalition of 50+ partners and organizations in the Pottawattamie County and greater Omaha metro area. Our mission is to unite and empower communities to take action againse all substances of abuse. PMP provides educational presentations to adults and youth, guest speakers, and print materials to groups, organizations, families, and individuals in our communities. Community events, network
ing, and referrals are also integral to PMP's success. In 2011, PMP was the recipient of the Iowa Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy's first ever Innovation, Determination, and Excellence in Action (IDEA) Award. This award was given to one coalition in Iowa for turning ideas into action through leadership to reduce substance abuse and improve the health and safety of Iowans. PMP was very proud to accept this award.
