Resilience OC

Resilience OC Resilience OC works to strengthen leadership of color towards community transformation.

At Resilience Orange County, we believe our communities thrive when those most impacted have the power to shape the decisions that affect their lives. Yet too often communities of color are excluded from systems of governance and denied a voice in policies that shape their futures. That’s why Resilience Orange County builds power through an intergenerational approach, uniting youth, adults, elders

, and families to lead in civic engagement, advocacy, and grassroots organizing. We work to ensure that community members feel seen, heard, valued, and understood in decision-making spaces. Our work is grounded in leadership development, participatory research, organizing, and collaboration, we work alongside the community to co-develop solutions that create lasting change. OUR MISSION
Resilience is an organization working to strengthen leadership of color towards community transformation. OUR VISION
To inform and inspire communities of color to thrive and build a just future.

Costa Mesa deserves transparency when it comes to housing. 🏠

Right now, the City tracks data on things like traffic, parks, budgets, and code enforcement — but when it comes to housing for 60% of Costa Mesa residents who rent, the city is flying blind.

A Rental Unit Registry is a simple, neutral data system that helps the city, landlords, and renters understand what’s actually happening in our housing market — it’s pro-information.

Join us at City Hall to support policies that help protect tenants and strengthen our community.

📍 Costa Mesa City Hall 77 Fair Drive
🗓 Tomorrow, Tuesday March 17
⏰ 5:30 PM

Show up, speak out, and help ensure the right to remain for immigrants and tenants in Costa Mesa.

Bring a friend and stand with us. ✊

Orange County it’s time to show up!

Here’s what you need to know about the Special Election:

✅ Nov. 4 is the last day to vote -- not the first.
✅ Make a plan to vote by mail, drop box, or in person: caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov
✅ If you're voting in person know your rights at the polls. Intimidation has no place in our elections.
✅ If you're voting by mail drop off your ballot by Nov 3 so it's postmarked properly.

When we vote, we build power. For our families, our future, and our California. 💪

Escucharán a nuestro invitado, Sergio Coronel.

Fecha: Viernes, Nov 7
Tiempo 6pm - 8pm
Localización: Zoom (Regístrese aqui https://bit.ly/DerechoAPermanecer )

Costa Mesa Unidos, CHAMOY and guests are invited to join Resilience OC for a session on Derecho A Permanecer/ Right to Remain.

This virtual event will give meaning to our organizing framework and highlight stories of perseverance.

Everyday we are organizing to stay and remain in our neighborhoods, in our schools, and in our homes.
We live in a moment when too often so many fear being evicted, others are pushed out of a higher education, and families fear being out in public. Un Derecho A Permanecer reminds us of the power to build our own messages of survival and resilience.

During the event you will hear from our keynote speaker, Sergio Coronel.

Date: Friday, Nov 7th
Time: 6pm - 8pm
Location: Zoom (Register here https://bit.ly/DerechoAPermanecer )

Across Orange County our communities are diverse, creative, and resilient. We stand up for each other at our workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods. This election let's stand up for democracy too. Vote early, drop off your ballot, and help your friends do the same.

"This summer of raids and deportations has opened the eyes of many to the brutality of our country’s immigration enforcement system. Through my observations at the courthouse, I’ve borne witness to a more insidious, bureaucratized form of cruelty at the heart of the system: one that denies immigrants access to justice through legal language and practice. The raw brutality of this summer’s ICE raids in my community have shocked me, but it is this routinized violence, occurring in windowless courtrooms and bland hallways, behind the mirrored windows of an anonymous office building on Dyer Road, that has left me chilled to the core.”

My volunteer work in immigration court this summer showed me what truly inaccessible language looked like, as multiple barriers rendered the language of the immigration court system alienating and inaccessible to at risk of immediate arrest by ICE agents in the halls of the courthouse.
