🎉 Join us in celebrating Dr. Sharon Laufer 🎉
After more than 20+ years of dedicated service, Dr. Sharon Laufer is stepping down from her role as a board member of Comfort House. While this marks the end of an era, we are grateful that she will continue to support our mission as a volunteer. 💙
Dr. Laufer, a native Louisvillian, has called Harrison County home since 1983. She has served our community in countless ways—through her work as a family physician, her involvement in the hospital, her church, and her commitment to causes like the Red Cross. She has been donating regularly to the Red Cross as her blood can be given to infants and children.
Her passion for helping children, advocating for their safety, and her longstanding commitment to the HCH Foundation as a board member is what led her to Comfort House. Since joining the board in the early 2000s, she has been an important piece of the puzzle—helping us work toward a safer, stronger community for children and families.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Dr. Laufer enjoys doing puzzles of any kind, reading mystery and medical fiction, and spending time with her family—especially her granddaughter.
Thank you, Dr. Laufer, for your years of compassion, leadership, and service. Your impact will be felt for years to come! 💐
