Pleasant Small animal rescue group with a passion for saving lives. We serve the Corpus Christi area with a special focus on Flour Bluff and North Padre Island. We believe:
A loving relationship with a companion animal is enriching, promotes health and well-being, and brings joy to everyday life. Every dog and cat deserves to live in a safe, loving, and suitable home. Companion animals are important, contributing members of families and the community and should be accepted as well as respected as such. People should have easy access to adequate information, resources in addition to other services to support the health and behavior of their pets, which will enhance enjoyment of their pets throughout their lifetime. 🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR PICKLES! 🐾❤️

💔 Pickles’ world is about to change, and she desperately needs someone to help her!

Meet Pickles, this adorable girl who is approximately 3–4 years old and weighs just 30 lbs.

Her owner is a very elderly woman who, sadly, can no longer care for her. Pickles is losing the only home she knows, through no fault of her own.

We don’t want this precious girl to end up in a shelter or frightened and confused about what happened to her family.

❤️ WE URGENTLY NEED A LOVING FOSTER HOME FOR PICKLES!

STAR Group Rescue will cover all veterinary care. All we need is someone willing to open their heart and home while we find Pickles a wonderful forever family.

Just look at that adorable face, those big expressive eyes, and that precious little smile! How could anyone resist her?

This is what We do on Saturday nights... The phone rang and I wasn't going to answer it but I did...At 6:00 I got a call...

This is what We do on Saturday nights...

The phone rang and I wasn't going to answer it but I did...
At 6:00 I got a call from someone telling me they had two pug puppies they could no longer keep because the girlfriend left him and he didn't want the puppies anymore.

I explained that at 6:00 PM on Saturday night everybody's closed and nobody is open to take in the rescue puppies
and that if he could wait till tomorrow morning I would definitely take the puppies.

He told me if I didn't take the puppies right now he was going to leave them on the side of the road in the kennel crate and walk away.

I called everybody I know and
texted everybody I know
Asked all my rescue friends if they knew of somebody that could take the puppies in tonight because this guy was going to dump them somewhere and leave them out in the street to get run over.
By 7:00 he called me and told me that if I didn't take the puppies tonight he was going to just leave them outside and whatever happened to them was okay with him.

So I told him to go ahead and bring the puppies to me.
I texted him my address

and then he texted me back and told me he needed $10 for gas.

By this time it's 7:30 it's dark and I told him I'm not going to buy your puppies if you want me to take them you have to bring them here to the

He showed up with the puppies about 8:00 ...It was totally dark and my Partner Daniel,....Who is the best guy in the world... went out to meet him in the parking lot.

The guy refused to fill out the owner's surrender form.
He took the pug puppies that were in the crate out of his van and put them on the ground and drove away cussing and screaming.

Well hallelujah thank God the puppies are here and they're not dumped somewhere ... All alone waiting to get run over.. That irresponsible owner even tried to get $10 for gas just to bring me his problem on Saturday night at 7: 00PM when no other place was open.

When we examined the puppies we found out they
Have mange. So we treated them with Bravecto, panacur and strongid.
They were starving and they ate two cups of puppy dog food.
And right now they are in my dog room resting and sleeping and waiting for the Pugheart Rescue to come get them tomorrow.
