The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend is excited to participate in Lemonade Day from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM!

Our Club members will be selling refreshing lemonade and handmade items they have created themselves. Every purchase helps support field trips, youth programming, and opportunities that teach valuable life skills to the children we serve.

This is more than a lemonade stand—it's a chance for our youth to learn entrepreneurship, responsibility, teamwork, and customer service while raising funds for their future.

🚁🐢🌊 Real-World Heroes in the Sky! 🌊🐢🚁

This week, our campers got an incredible look at how drone technology is making a difference in the world around us.

Thanks to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, members were introduced to two specialized drones and learned how they are used for much more than just flying. From helping researchers monitor and protect sea turtles along our coast to assisting first responders in locating swimmers in distress, these drones are saving lives and supporting important conservation efforts every day.

The room was filled with curiosity as campers asked questions, explored the technology, and discovered how STEM can be used to solve real-world challenges. Seeing the connection between innovation and helping others made today's experience especially meaningful.

Moments like these inspire our youth to dream big and see how their future careers can make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.

A huge thank you to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi for sharing their expertise and showing our members how technology can be a powerful tool for service, safety, and environmental stewardship.

🚁💙 Today Was the Day They Had Been Waiting For! 💙🚁

After days of learning about drone technology, safety procedures, flight controls, and the many ways drones are used in the real world, our campers finally got the chance to take flight.

What started as curiosity quickly turned into confidence as they applied everything they had learned and watched their drones lift off the ground. The smiles, excitement, and sense of accomplishment were unforgettable. For many of our members, this was their very first time operating a drone—and they rose to the challenge with focus, determination, and enthusiasm.

These moments are about so much more than flying drones. They are about discovering new passions, building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and helping our youth realize that they are capable of amazing things.

Flint Hills Resource and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi for investing in experiences that inspire our members to dream bigger and explore new possibilities. Today, they flew drones. Tomorrow, they may be the engineers, pilots, innovators, and leaders shaping our future.

Today, Interim CEO Dr. Ralph Silva and Director of Marketing Kris Tovar had the honor of attending the Cenikor Foundation Luncheon, with special thanks to CITGO for their support of this meaningful event.

We were inspired by guest speaker .dotson , former NFL offensive lineman, Super Bowl ###I Champion with the Green Bay Packers, and co-founder of the nonprofit A Tale of Two Sons. Through his powerful message, Earl shared the organization's mission to break the stigma surrounding mental health, substance use, and su***de prevention.

Events like these remind us of the importance of open conversations, community support, and continued advocacy for mental wellness.

Our members are loving the incredible opportunity to dive into the world of drone technology during Flint Hills Drone Camp at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend this week.

🚁✨ Flint Hills Drone Camp Takes Flight at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend! ✨🚁

Our members had an incredible opportunity to explore the exciting world of drone technology during Flint Hills Drone Camp in our STEM Room! With support from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and dedicated community partners, campers learned about drone safety, flight operations, engineering, and the real-world applications of unmanned aerial systems.

From hands-on demonstrations to interactive discussions, our young innovators were inspired to think about future careers in science, technology, engineering, and aviation. Watching the excitement on their faces as they learned how drones work was truly amazing!
