The VSC is a 501(c)(3) organization that supports and helps enrich the lives of the people living at Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center.

The Volunteer Services Council of the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1973. We operate through a volunteer Board of Directors. The VSC helps enrich th

e lives of the 190 adult residents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Residents strive to live, laugh, and love each day of their lives. Through donations from you and other members of the public, including grants and planned giving, we're able to make building and environmental improvements, fund recreational activities and educational services, purchase therapeutic and medical equipment and services, and generally help meet the needs of the Residents on a financial basis where the State of Texas does not due to fund limitations. There are only so many services and funds available from the State. So it is up to us - VSC and You - to make up the difference. Please contact us for more information Thank You!

Smiles, waves, and a day full of joy at the 2026 Buc Days Parade! 🏴‍☠️🌊

Our residents loved every moment of riding on our underwater-themed float and being part of such an exciting community tradition. They especially enjoy opportunities like this where they can get out, connect, and see so many friendly faces. 💙🐚

We are so grateful to our staff and volunteers who helped prepare the float and supported our residents throughout the day to ensure a safe, fun, and meaningful experience for everyone. ✨🩵
