We will be joined by Alexis Sabine, from the Texas Sea Grant, and Rhianna Steelhammer, from Mission-Aransas NERR, to talk about problems caused by monofilament fishing lines left in the environment! Thank you to all the families, students, and individuals that came to the Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Program clean! By removing litter from the dunes and shore, we are showing the ocean that we care 🫶🏼🌊

🌊🌱 Mark your calendars to join us Saturday October 17th from 5pm - 7pm at 3600 Maple St, Corpus Christi, TX, for an Ocean Friendly Gardens tour and workday.

🌳🏡 For The Greater Good adopted Carroll Lane Park in 2017 and has since planted dozens of native vegetation and fruit trees. The organization celebrates community while grounding in care for the Earth. They meet at the park every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 6pm - 8pm.

🌊The goal of the Surfrider Foundation Ocean Friendly Gardens program is to reduce runoff from our cities and prevent it from contaminating the Gulf. Even if you live miles inland, the pollutants, trash, and runoff in your streets will eventually make its way into the ocean. Fortunately, you can take a water-wise, watershed approach and make changes to your landscape that help capture rainfall, reduce runoff and recharge our groundwater supply.🌱
