Member Judy Farrell presented a program on the history of chatelaines June 11 and told how they are still useful in today's sewing world. In modern sewing a chatelaine is fabric or ribbons worn around the neck to hold sewing accessories such as needles, thread, scissors, thimbles and pins.

Judy also showed a variety of steering wheel covers she designed after moving from Illinois to Florida. Dealing with burning hot steering wheels in the Florida sun, she designed covers for the steering wheel while parked.
