Camp Able Exceptional Families Event: Make a Kite... Fly a Kite at Silver Strand State Beach
Saturday September 19th 10:30am - 12:30pm - Silver Strand State Beach - The Ocean Side - Picnic Tables by the bathrooms and tunnel to Camp Able. Parking Lot 3 next to the RV camping area
Join Camp Able and the Coronado Community Foundation for a morning of fun! We will be building and flying kites. You must RSVP to secure a spot. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and make sure to wear a hat and sunscreen.
All Ages and Families Welcome!Snacks will be provided - Free Family Event!

Well that’s a wrap!! Camp Able Summer Camp 2026 was a huge success with seeing more campers then we have since restarting the program after COVID! The smiles, love, laughter, and opportunities for all to experience the beach was exceeded!! Can’t wait to see you this year at one of our monthly Camp Able Exceptional Families Events!! 🌊🌴💙🌞

Camp Able at Coronado is proud to support FOCUSforChildren, an organization that has generously supported our program throughout the years.

Most recently, FOCUS donated sensory equipment, pop-up shade canopies, beach chairs, and bean bags to help enhance this summer's camp experience for our participants.

Camp Able at Coronado Needs Summer Camp Volunteers!
Looking for a rewarding way to make a difference this summer? Join us at Camp Able at Coronado and help create unforgettable experiences for individuals of all abilities!

There is no minimum volunteer commitment — whether you can help for a day, a week, or throughout the summer, we would love to have you on our team.

Location: Silver Strand State Beach – Crown Cove Aquatic Center, Coronado, CA
Camp Schedule: Monday–Friday through July 30
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting campers, building friendships, and helping make camp a fun and inclusive experience for everyone.

Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. Volunteers under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

GUS FOR CORONADO ANIMAL MAYOR!
As Gus works toward becoming a K9 therapy dog for Camp Able at Coronado, he’s also on the campaign trail to become Coronado’s next Animal Mayor! While Gus proudly supports Camp Able, this campaign is raising funds for another incredible local organization, PAWS of Coronado.

PAWS of Coronado provides valuable programs, resources, and assistance that support animals and pet owners throughout our community. Every vote helps PAWS continue making a positive difference for Coronado’s animals, making this campaign about much more than a title, it’s about giving back to a great cause.
