Being the spouse of a deployed, active-duty Navy SEAL can be its own kind of challenging tour of duty. Caring for children and other family members while their loved one is away serving our country requires a special kind of resilience. But they don’t have to do it alone.

During the storms in Hawaii last month, several SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE (SDVT-1) families were forced to evacuate due to severe flooding. SFF was able to immediately support three families with emergency lodging and transportation—helping provide stability during a very stressful time. SFF received the note below from their Commanding Officer, which speaks for itself.

"I want to extend a big thank you to the SEAL Family Foundation support over the weekend to our members affected by the Evacuation Order on Oahu’s North Shore. The foundation’s support provided a critical safe harbor for our members during a very stressful and chaotic period, and we are incredibly grateful for the SFF’s rapid response to SDVT-1’s request. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need!"

Deployment homecomings are joyful but reintegration can also bring unexpected challenges for NSW spouses and families. That’s why SEAL Family Foundation hosts Spouse Reintegration Days: dedicated spaces for spouses to connect, learn, prepare, and build community before their loved one returns home from deployment.

So far in 2026, we’ve hosted 9 Reintegration Days across Virginia Beach, San Diego, Stennis, and Hawaii: all supporting spouses through every stage of the transition home.

Strong families are the foundation of mission readiness, and we are honored to stand beside this incredible community. 💙
