Today we honor women who have served in the armed forces and give respect and dignity to them. 🇺🇸🗽

Today, we honor Women Veterans Recognition Day, which commemorates the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act in 1948.

The law marked a turning point in U.S. military history, granting women the right to serve permanently in the regular armed forces rather than only during times of war. It opened new opportunities for military service and leadership, while laying the groundwork for future generations of women to serve their country in every branch of the armed forces.

Are you registered? If you registered under a particular party affiliation, you can vote in those primaries (which are coming up very soon). We need your vote!

While all registered voters can vote in a general/special election, primary elections are only for enrolled members of a party to choose their nominee for November. Answer the questions to find out if you can vote this month! Check out elections.ny.gov for more info.
