Growth, renewal, and the beauty of new beginnings.
In Bloom explores the many ways growth takes shape through vibrant colors, expressive techniques, and artwork inspired by the transition into spring. Featuring work from eight Mecklenburg County artists and members of the Cain Center Artist Circle, this exhibition celebrates the beauty, challenges, and possibilities that come with change.

Rachel J Haungs is a mixed-media artist from Huntersville, North Carolina with a BFA from Appalachian State University. Inspired by the natural world, she works in vivid colour to capture the healing peace of nature by blending the realms of impressionism and expressionism.
Concurrently, she draws on her lifelong background in music to find escape from the noise of the digital world through creating musical portraits. A mixed media artist, she primarily works in acrylic, water media, and oil pastel. She is a member of the Mooresville Arts Guild, Guild of Charlotte Artists, and American Women Artists with notable achievements including the Mooresville Arts 12th Annual Winter Juried Exhibition (Juror’s Choice Award – Craggy Pinnacle Colourscape), the Mooresville Arts 47th Annual Spring Fest Judged Fine Art Show (First Place – Lake Junaluska, NC), and AMPED: The Art of Rock & Roll juried show with the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition.
Kathy Weiss is a Charlotte, North Carolina–based painter working across expressive landscapes, wildlife, still life, and abstract compositions. Her work is rooted in a deep connection to nature and a lifelong immersion in the visual arts, balanced by a professional background in marketing and color forecasting that informs her refined sense of palette and design.
