Not having a place to call "home" has been difficult for our club. Still, we continue to investigate potential locations for dances and lessons. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Charter Member Pam Honeycutt. Pam was instrumental in the formation and perpetuation of our club and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Please keep Doug, Amy and their whole family in your thoughts and prayers.

Time is flying by. We are about a month from Fall SOS. Who is going?

It's been a while since we posted anything about our dance night plans because we didn't have anything significant to say. However, we now have an update.

For the many months during and after Covid shutdowns we have remained in periodic contact with our "home", the Finish Line Lounge (now known as the Wobbly Butt Lounge) fully planning to resume our activities at their location. We met with them periodically and we were both waiting for the right time to restart our efforts.

At some point a few folks decided to go dance there when the lounge's house DJ was there playing all types of music. This was fine. But someone posted on social media that the lounge was having "s**g nights" again, creating a lot of confusion for our past attendees who showed up expecting a dedicated s**g night with a dedicated s**g DJ.

Unfortunately this alternate dance effort also negatively impacted our attempts to resume lesson and s**g nights.

Despite continued efforts, it recently became clear that our lessons and our s**g nights were not going to be part of the Wobbly Butt's future plans. Still, we want to wish the lounge well with their new directions and new endeavors. We had a lot of good times there, and we appreciate their past support.

We will now start searching for a new "home" location where we can host our s**g lessons and our s**g nights and we will share information with you whenever plans are finalized.

We regret to report that a former member of Twister's S**g Club has passed away. Dan Musgrove (and his wife Janice) moved from our area to Florida years back, but reunited with TSC friends when visiting NMB during SOS or Mid-Winter. Please keep Janice and the family in your thoughts and prayers.

We have received numerous emails and phone calls over the past few months about s**gging and s**g lessons at the Finish Line Lounge. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer either one due to restrictions put in place by our Governor.

S**gging involves a lot of socializing and close encounters with friends. Putting tables six feet apart is a problem. Likewise, it is hard to dance six feet away from your partner and/or other dancers. Plus, it's hard to have a party in a room where you normally have 100-125 people with a much smaller number.

We have had discussions with the Finish Line and we all agree that we want to offer s**gging and s**g lessons, but we will hold off until we can "do it right" and really create a party setting like we used to do. The minute things get to that point, you will find information here and on our web site.
