Karen's Cure was founded in 2008 by her brother, Joe Wilkins. In his memory, it was his wish to "Pay It Forward"... Karen's Cure supports all cancers! Thank you!

Karen's Cure was founded in 2008 by her brother, Joe Wilkins, because of Karen's Breast Cancer diagnosis. He wanted to help those like her that didn't have insurance and needed help with personal expenses, medicines and medical bills. Unfortunately, Joe was tragically killed in 2010 in a motorcycle accident. It was always his wish that we help others like her... that we "Pay It Forward." Each ye

ar Karen's Cure will host benefits for recipients who have been diagnosed with cancer. Deserving people who will need help in their personal and medical bills. People who aren't able to get help from other cancer organizations because they fall into a "grey" area. We ask for your consideration in your giving to this cause for those who are in need of support. Karen's Cure is a registered non-profit organization under IRS Code 501c3. The event scheduled for June 11th has been changed from a casino night theme to poker run, auction, raffle ticket sales and live music Event!! The poker run begins at Noon and the other events begin at 6. Spread the word! See you there! Details on the flyers below.

This year's benefit will be to assist Karen. Her cancer has returned and she in for the fight of her life. Please join us on June 11th at In The Wind Bar in Huntersville to support this great cause. Karen has helped so many individuals over the years and now is the time for us to show her how much we care! See you there!!

Our Story

Karen’s Cure was founded in 2008 by Joe Wilkins after his sister, Karen, had been diagnosed with breast cancer. He wanted to help people like her who needed help with medical and/or personal expenses.

Unfortunately, Joe was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 2010. It was always his wish that Karen’s Cure help others like his sister and that the charity continue to “Pay it Forward!”

Since 2008, Karen’s Cure has raised over $50,000, which has gone directly to numerous local recipients. This is an opportunity to bring local resources together and continue to provide support to those in need.
