On January 22nd, the BABC Miami chapter held it’s 2026 AGM at the British Consulate’s Residence. Thank you so much to for hosting and it was wonderful to be joined by Harriet Thompson from the UK Government who was visiting South Florida.

Congratulations to the Board Members who were voted in during the evening, and to Catherine Garrido and Lisa Shephard who will continue as President and Vice-President for 2026.

🎉 On Thursday 13th November, we had the pleasure of attending King Charles III’s Birthday Celebration at the British Consul General’s Residence in Miami 🇬🇧. The evening was filled with festive cheer, delicious British appetizers like venison carpaccio, pea soup, and potato chips with haggis, accompanied by plenty of gin & tonic, British sparkling wine and scotch — a truly authentic experience! 🥂

It was an honor to hear Rufus Drabble speak about the incredible impact his team has made in Florida, particularly in finance, tech, and health sectors. The strong ties between the UK and Florida continue to grow, with more companies seeking opportunities here. 🌍

Founded on 13 December 1985, we are looking for any past members and Board Members to join us on this special occasion.

A brilliant social at La Tropical in Wynwood, with beer tasting and a behind the scenes tour of the brewery! Thank you to the amazing, and fellow Brit, Greg Watson for sharing your knowledge and guiding us through the process.

On May 29th, BABC Miami partnered with the Broward BACC for an evening with the British Consul General learning about the recent changes and how they might impact trade between the UK and the US! Thank you to RSM for hosting us and especially Tansy Jefferies for leading the discussion.

On 6th of February, the BABC Miami joined with other European Chambers based in Miami, to come together for a wonderful evening of networking.

Hosted at the lovely rooftop terrace of Torno Subito by the Italian chamber, guests were presented with delicious lite bites and cocktails and a spectacular view of the Miami skyline.

Members of the British, French, German, Italian and Spanish chambers come together four times a year in the spirit of collaboration and friendship. We thank everyone who attended and made this event possible!

On January 30th the British American Business Council Miami held their AGM at the Residence of the British Consul General.

The Board of Directors for 2025 were voted in and exciting plans for the year ahead were discussed.

This is a particularly exciting year as we will celebrate our 40th anniversary! The BABC Miami was founded on 13th December 1985.
