BIRTHRIGHT UPDATE #5 🇮🇱
We’ve been busy the past few days celebrating Shavuot and Shabbat together! Last week, we spent time at Aqua Kef on the Kinneret, laughing, competing, and making the most of our final moments with our Israeli peers before saying “lehitraot” to friends who quickly became family over the course of the trip. We ended the day experiencing Kibbutz life at Kibbutz Masada while taking in the beauty of northern Israel and learning more about the complexity, history, and reality of the region.
On Thursday, we started the day exploring the beautiful city of Tzfat and its historic Old City. Being one of the first Birthright groups back there in months made the experience even more meaningful and special. We then stopped at Amiad Winery to taste some of the unique fruit liquors produced in northern Israel before heading down to Tel Aviv. We welcomed in Shavuot together with an incredible dinner, music filling the streets of Jaffa, and an unforgettable atmosphere along the Mediterranean.
Spending Shavuot in Israel together was truly unforgettable 🇮🇱 We explored the streets of Jaffa, grabbed coffee and knafeh, relaxed by the beach, and soaked in the energy of Tel Aviv. As the sun began to set, we came together one final time for Kabbalat Shabbat and a meaningful group Shabbat dinner filled with singing, reflection, and memories from the journey we shared together.
Shabbat day was filled with beach time, reflection, and community. One of the most special moments of the day was celebrating a Bar Mitzvah ceremony together, followed by Havdalah as we closed out Shabbat as a group. We then had a free night out to experience the incredible nightlife of Tel Aviv, exploring the city together and making unforgettable memories on one of our final nights in Israel.
