Please join us in celebrating Kateryna, who received the Sunshine Award at Holy Cross Hospital for “making an incredibly meaningful difference” in her work as a CNA. A true UAC success story
From graduating the UAC Scholarship Program in 2022 to becoming a certified nursing assistant at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital, her journey is a testament to resilience, hard work, and hope.
Congratulations, Kateryna — you inspire us all.

For over three decades, UAC has stood by Ukraine’s children — through peace and now through war.
Our scholarships open the door to education when everything else feels uncertain.
Even in the darkest times, learning gives them a future to hold on to. Please meet Olha, a candidate to the Scholarship program. Olha was born in 2010, in the village of Odesa region. Until the age of ten, she lived with her grandmother, mother, and brother; she had never had a father in her life. When Olha turned ten, the family moved to the city of Odesa so she could have better educational opportunities.
In 2025, Olha’s grandmother passed away, leaving her mother to raise the children alone. Despite these hardships, Olha has remained dedicated to her studies and her future.
She is now a first year student, training to become a hairdresser and manicurist. Olha loves her profession and believes it will help her build a stable career and support her family.
Olha currently lives in Odesa with her mother and brother. Daily life is extremely difficult due to the ongoing war — constant explosions, air raid sirens, and frequent outages of electricity and water. Even in these conditions, she continues to study and dreams of finding good work to help her mother.
Olha is applying to the UAC Scholarship Program to continue her education and build an independent, dignified future. She promises to study diligently, follow the organization’s rules, and make the most of this opportunity. Please visit the UAC site www.uacukraine.org and become Olha's sponsor today!

Meet Valeriia, 17
She grew up without parental care, but with extraordinary strength. Today she studies to become a seamstress, living in a dormitory for orphans in Odesa — a city that endures nightly attacks and long hours without electricity.

And still, she dreams.

Valeriia wants to master her craft, earn a dignified income, and one day return to her school as a teacher to help others like her.

She is applying to the UAC Scholarship Program to continue her studies and build a future she has fought so hard for.

Your support can change her life. Visit the UAC site www.uacukraine.org or www.uacua.org and become Valeriia's sponsor today!

War has taken so much from Ukraine’s youth, but it has not taken their determination to learn. For more than 30 years, UAC has supported children’s education, and our Scholarship Program continues to operate every single day of this war. Your support helps them keep going. Please visit the UAC SITE AND BECOME Arina’s sponsor today!
Arina, 17, has faced a childhood full of instability, constant moves, and the challenges of growing up without parental care. When the war began, she and her brother were evacuated to Poland, where she continued her schooling online and completed a year long photography course.
Today Arina is a first year student training as a seamstress embroiderer. She has already completed an internship at a footwear company and is determined to build a stable, independent future through her profession.
Despite the war, air raid sirens, and daily hardships, Arina remains hopeful. She dreams of becoming a skilled specialist with a dignified income so she can support herself and build a better life.
Arina is applying to the UAC Scholarship Program to continue her education and gain the profession she has worked so hard to pursue.

Ukrainian children need peace. They want to live in their country and have blue skies over their heads, not flying missiles and drones which bring destruction and death.

Please meet Captain, a homeless dog who found a home in the dorm for orphans. We know his story from the letter one of the orphans wrote to her sponsor. "I love animals. Recently, a dog named Captain moved into our dorm. He was very scared after the Russian shelling. The dorm administration took him in. We are training Captain and playing with him, but he still doesn't trust us because he was insulted.

Sending blessings of peace and love to you and your families for the coming Easter. Let your home be filled with happiness!
Thank you for your generous support to Ukrainian children.

Tragically, the war entered its fifth year. More and more casualties in the front line and among peaceful civilians, including children.
Two days ago the maternity home in Odesa was reduced to rubbles. It is a crime against humanity.
Please see below a few photos. We know that it is scary even to look at them. All crimes should be documented and the time will come when those who committed them will be held accountable.

UAC team on the ground continues its efforts to provide survival assistance to those in most need. It will be impossible without your help. Please support our efforts. Visit www.uacukraine.org and make a donation today. It will go a long way to help the children in need!
