The Historic Preservation Association of Coral Gables is a non-profit Florida corporation founded in 1991. The mission of the Association is to support an environment in which its members and all community citizens can understand, appreciate, exchange information and live with Coral Gables history. The Association promotes the understanding of the importance of historic resources and their preservation.

A.-3. Presentation of a Certificate of Recognition to Architect Albert J. Socol
In recognition of National Architecture Month, the City Commission will honor Albert J. Socol, AIA, NCARB, for his exceptional architectural legacy and his many contributions to the City of Coral Gables. Mr. Socol designed 150 Alhambra, 2199 Ponce de Leon, and 2100 Ponce de Leon, earning several City Beautiful Awards. All three buildings are featured in the 2026 architecture book "CORAL GABLES: The Moderns," with 2199 Ponce de Leon, designed in 1980 for the Royal Bank of Canada, on its cover.
