Concert 6... the final… and full of unforgettable moments with Kate Kortum… on the CAP 2026 Summer Concert Series!

There’s singing, then there’s encasing it with subtle phrasing, nuance, and beautiful sound that has one doing the job of not only telling a story, but of also making it one’s own.

From compelling musical theatre arrangements, to originals and jazz and blues throwbacks to Sarah Vaughan, Bessie Smith, Blossom Dearie, Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae, and others – Kate Kortum delivered all of this.

With sensitive and spot-on accompaniments by pianist Joel Wenhardt, it was a night that enthralled a fully-packed house. A night when Kate Kortum showed exactly how and why she won the 2025 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition!

It’s a wrap on an incredible CAP 2026 Summer Concert Series… with more to come in 2027 – every other Thursday evening, June 10 through August 19! See you then… for one of Miami’s longest-running, live-music traditions.
