The Community Arts Program (CAP), with those around the world, mourns the loss of Sonny Rollins. He was more than a titan of the tenor saxophone — he was a seeker, an innovator, and one of the last living bridges to the music’s sacred lineage.

It has been a whirlwind of four incredible weeks: CAP Radio Broadcasts, CAP Peer Shout Outs!, CAP Saturday Music Classes Student Recitals, and CAP Performing Ensembles’ End-of-the-Year Family Concert!

Thank you to wonderful CAP Families and Students, incomparable CAP Teaching Artists, CAP Partners, and ALL who support and lift CAP’s work!

We now roar into the summer with an epic CAP 2026 Summer Concert Series and CAP Summer Master Classes & Jam Sessions, June 11 through August 20!

We’re also processing the enrollment of students (ages 5-18) into the after-school CAP 2026-2027 Conservatory and Miami Jazz Institute.

Get a head start – CAP One-on-One Instrument Lessons, CAP Composition, CAP Music Theory, and CAP Performing Ensembles!
