Our 5 year journey to have a clinic run by UM is successfully completed. We now dedicating our efforts to improve the quality of the clinic . Every new effort and endeavor needs improvement especially until is settled.

We are getting very close on opening the physical site for the Clinic. For us the location and the environment of the clinic is crucial.
We need your support your helping hands.
Do you think the clinic should be within the Jackson Memorial complex or outside the Complex ? For a lot of autistic adults that would be a hardship. Also we may need some funds to sure the physical environment is conducive to our population. Any change will help

The clinic had to open with only TeleDoc services. No in person visits.
The search for the clinic site was cancelled. Today we learned that the clinic site has been determined and the details will be announced this month.

We apologize for canceling this months LifeSpan meeting. We have been busy with establishing the essential building blocks for the clinic. As with all new endeavors it’s a work in progress. But we are confident of the outcome. We are open but not for in person visits. Next months meeting will be very educational

We participated in The Disabilities Panel for Medical Students Created by the UM Mailman center to improve learning experience for future Doctors. One of the objectives was Informed, valid consent and the assumptions that physicians may make when taking care of a person with a disability.
The meetings was a success.
