Please join us in congratulating our own Susan Rodriguez (club president 2021-2024) on receiving multiple prestigious honors recognizing her outstanding leadership, service, and dedication to gardening and community impact.

Susan was awarded the Blanche Covel Covington Award for Leadership, recognizing her as the top leader among all Florida Federation of Garden Clubs members. She was also selected as the overall leadership winner for the Deep South Region, representing excellence across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Adding to this remarkable achievement, Susan is only the second member from our club to receive the Blanche Covel Covington Award following Betsy Adams (club president 1989-1991) in 2009.

Susan also received the National Garden Clubs Medal of Honor, a distinguished recognition celebrating exceptional commitment, service, and contributions to both garden clubs and the broader community.

These honors reflect Susan’s passion, leadership, and tireless dedication to making a difference through gardening, conservation, civic beautification, and community engagement.

Susan, thank you for all you do for our club and our community. Your leadership inspires us, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved recognition with you! 💚🌸

We are excited & honored to share that the Coral Gables Garden Club’s 4th Annual Fashions & Florals “Nightfall in the Garden” gala raised more than $50,000!! This is the largest single-event fundraising total in our club’s history!

Nearly 300 guests joined us for a magical night of fashion, florals, friendship, and philanthropy, all in support of meaningful conservation projects that will help keep Coral Gables green and beautiful for generations to come.

Funds raised will support:
🌳 A new micro-forest at the Coral Way entrance to the City of Coral Gables
🦋 Continued habitat restoration at Camp Mahachee
🌿 Ongoing environmental education and beautification programs including scholarships in natural science areas of study.

Thank you to our generous sponsors, members, volunteers, donors, and guests who made this unforgettable evening possible. Together, we are growing a greener future for Coral Gables and our 🌎! Today, our club’s "Flower Arranging Divas" shared their talents and hearts by creating beautiful floral arrangements for the mothers staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
We hope these flowers brought a little comfort, joy, and beauty to the incredible moms spending Mother’s Day caring for their sweet children. 💕

Yesterday the Coral Gables Garden Club held our May Installation Luncheon at the Coral Reef Yacht Club, taking a moment to reflect on the wonderful whirlwind of this past year while welcoming and inaugurating new leadership and inducting the provisional members into active status!! We are so excited for the year to come!!
