Colorado Ultimate Hike training starts in ONE MONTH — come hit the trails with us!

Ewing sarcoma is one of the most aggressive bone and soft tissue cancers kids face. Funds raised by The Sam Schneider Legacy support Dr. Lee, who is developing a next-generation CAR T cell therapy for kids with ES. Early results show rapid tumor shrinkage and no signs of general toxicity, and the clinical-grade manufacturing process is moving forward. 💪

This September, Team "Don't Lollygag!" takes on the Colorado Trail in honor of Sam with CureSearch and a $40,000 goal.

Today, we sent out a very special email to the Sam Schneider Legacy community with an exciting update for 2026.

Continuing the adventure Sam began, we are thrilled to announce that Team "Don’t Lollygag!" will take on the CureSearch Ultimate Hike this September, this time hiking the beautiful Colorado Trail. Our efforts will honor Sam while raising critical funds for Ewing sarcoma research.

Five years ago, Sam took his last breath. Not a day goes by that we don’t feel the weight of his absence, while also carrying the incredible light he brought into our lives.

Sam had a dream- to bring awareness to Ewing Sarcoma and to help find lifesaving treatments for kids like him. We continue to honor that dream as we navigate what life looks like without him physically here beside us. Because of this amazing community, we have raised nearly $300,000 to fund promising research, embraced meaningful career changes, and watched Jay graduate from college and step boldly into his adult life- milestones Sam would have celebrated with his whole heart.

This past year, we stepped back from fundraising events to reflect, to heal, and to listen for what truly comes next. Today, we feel ready to move forward again, grounded in love, guided by Sam’s courage, and committed to continuing his legacy.

We strive to live the way Sam wanted us to: with purpose, kindness, and hope.
