As the Founder of Healing Hounds, I just want to say that we at Healing Hounds are so happy to have been able to serve the First Responder community over the years and will miss seeing all of our agency partners, and working with our dedicated volunteers.

We would like to encourage all of the Healing Hounds volunteers to find a place volunteering in their neighborhood, or community, to keep giving back to the causes that mean the most to them. Healing Hounds does not, however, endorse any volunteer based organization or non-profit over another.

There are many great groups out there to volunteer with and I'm sure they will be happy to have your service. We wish all of our volunteers the very best and thank you for the time you spent with Healing Hounds!

The International Association of Chiefs of Police convention has been a huge success so far for Healing Hounds. Today Lucy was our ambassador when meeting actor Erik Estrada (TV show C.H.I.P.S.) and hammed it up for a photo shoot.

Jade and Jasper returned and picked up where they left off with a huge crowd waiting to visit them. The booth across the aisle invited them in to participate in a virtual simulation with a police K9. They were both very interested in that K9 but held their ground and didn’t react negatively. Perfect therapy dog traits… kudos to M.O.C K-9 Training

Closing up the show yesterday, Jade got to ride in a patrol car. She opted for the front seat but after accidentally turning on the siren she was asked to please sit in the back seat. She loved it!

🐾💙KEEP ROAM IN YOUR THOUGHTS: A K9 named Roam was stabbed and critically injured while responding to a barricade situation with his handler in Colorado Springs. Injuries were so severe, his left hind leg had to be amputated. It is with deep sadness that we here at Healing Hounds have to report that Tebow has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 . He will forever be in our hearts, our souls and our minds as we continue with our mission to serve Colorado’s First Responders and Military Members.

Tebows constant and dedicated service to Healing Hounds is undeniable and everyone he met will miss his loving personality and good looks. He was a handsome boy!

He was a hero and fought valiantly. He will be remembered and missed every day.

Our thoughts are with Tebow’s family tonight. Thank you for sharing Tebow with Healing Hounds and the Colorado communities he served.

In Loving Memory of Tebow

It is with broken hearts and many tears that we share the passing of Tebow, who touched the lives of countless friends and fans. At the age of 14 years and 4 months, Tebow left an indelible mark on everyone he met through his warmth, kindness, and dedication.

Tebow began his journey as a Therapy Dog for Healing Hounds in 2021, starting his meaningful work at 10 years of age. Throughout his time in this role, Tebow brought smiles and joy to the first responders he visited, making a genuine difference in their lives. His commitment was recognized with the AKC Therapy Dog Advanced (THDA) Title, which he earned upon completing 100 helping visits. Tebow also took pride in mentoring his housemate, KC, who continues his legacy by supporting first responders and excelling in her role.

Beyond his therapy work, Tebow excelled in a variety of dog sports, showcasing his talent and enthusiasm. He was lovingly known as the BEST Foodie Boy, always able to sniff out snacks and persuade people to share their treats. Tebow’s inquisitive nature and friendly demeanor made him a favorite among all who knew him.

Tebow was also Hero #330 out of 3,044 participants in the Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. Through this role, he spent his life sharing information about his daily experiences and providing medical samples to help future generations of dogs enjoy longer, healthier lives.

For all that Tebow was, all that he accomplished, and the boundless love he shared, he will be forever remembered and cherished. As he gives up his Hero Cape for Angel Wings, we imagine Tebow finding his place at the Rainbow Bridge, ready for new adventures beyond this world.
