Located in Concord, CA, Monument Impact serves one of the most densely populated communities in the Bay Area. With nearly a quarter of Concord residents living in this one neighborhood, there is a great need for social change. Monument community residents frequently find themselves largely isolat

ed from the broader community, as they lack the information about what is available and the transportation to get there. Fortunately, we are located in the diverse area of Contra Costa County and are surrounded by organizations that specialize in serving minorities and disadvantaged residents. From English classes to legal rights, from health care services to drug awareness, many organizations make use of the Monument Impact facilities to offer workshops at low cost or free, to help residents become self sufficient, healthy and economically stable.

25 years ago, the Day Labor Center opened its doors in Concord.

What started as a place to find work in a safe way grew into something more: a place to find community, build community power, and create local systems change.

Over the years, we’ve helped lead policy change, built programs rooted in tenant rights and community knowledge, and supported Promotores who bring resources and advocacy directly to their neighbors.

25 years later, we continue to open doors — and build bridges. Join us to celebrate it all on October 1st and build the pathway forward 💛

HIRE A DAY LABORER THIS MONTH 🧰❤️

Our day laborer members continue to show up — for their families, for their neighbors, and for our community.

At a time when many immigrant families are facing uncertainty and increased attacks, one way we can stand together is by supporting the workers in our own neighborhoods.

Need help with a home project, yard work, moving, painting, or repairs? Hire a day laborer! You get the help you need, and a neighbor gets the opportunity to earn a fair living and support themselves and their family.

25 years ago, the Day Labor Center opened its doors in Concord. We’ve grown from a small grassroots effort into a trusted community organization, a safe space for community members looking for resources and support, and someone to listen.

Join us October 1st as we celebrate 25 years and build the foundation for the next 25. 💛
