We operate to raise funds used to host community events, community fire education, as well as to support local Firefighter training, and department needs.

🔥 With recent wildfire activity in our area, it's a good reminder that fire season is here—and preparation matters.

A few important things to keep in mind:

✅ Be extra cautious during Red Flag Warnings. Avoid activities that could create heat, flames, or sparks, and if you see smoke or fire, report it immediately so emergency responders can act as quickly as possible.

✅ Create defensible space around your home. Simple proactive steps such as clearing brush, trimming vegetation, and maintaining safe distances between fuels and structures can make a significant difference in helping protect your property during a wildfire. ✅ Plan ahead with your insurance. During active wildfire events, insurance carriers may place temporary moratoriums on affected areas. When this happens, carriers may pause:
• Writing new policies
• Adding coverage
• Making changes to existing policies

If you're purchasing a home, buying a vehicle, or considering changes to your insurance coverage, it's wise to be proactive and start those conversations early. Once a moratorium is in place, certain transactions and policy changes may have to wait until restrictions are lifted.

A group of our volunteers took some time off of their regular jobs to go to Hofstetter School for our annual fire saftey day. We were joined by Stevens County Sheriff's Ambulance and Stevens County 911 in informing the kiddos of what it is like to provide emergency services and other saftey tips as well.

Danny Jordan was awarded firefighter of the year from the Colville Fire Department. This award is given to firefighters who go above and beyond their duty and show a commitment to keeping our community safe. Danny is always the first to volunteer when help is needed for projects or community outreach events. He has become a staple in our department.🏆🚒🔥🏆

The Colville Fire Department was able to take part in a mock DUI scenario at the Colville High School today. This drill consisted of multiple agencies coming together for a multi casualty exercise. We would like to thank everyone who took part and for being allowed to participate.
