If you know an undergraduate student who's been curious about a career in campus housing or student affairs, this is your last chance to pass this along.

STARS College kicks off this Sunday and registration is still open. It's three virtual Sunday afternoons from 1–5 PM ET, designed to fit around a full course load without taking over a student's weekend.

STARS College begins soon and if you work alongside undergraduate students who are curious about a career in campus housing or student affairs, pass this along.

Over three virtual Sunday afternoons in October, students will get an honest look at what this career looks like, explore their own identity and leadership, hear from STARS alumni, and leave with a personalized action plan for their next steps.

In 1949, a group of housing officers gathered at the University of Illinois with a shared problem and a shared conviction that where students live shapes who they become.

Two years later, the Association of College and University Housing Officers was officially founded.

What followed was 75 years of professionals showing up for each other expanding across borders, opening leadership to new voices, staying on campus during a pandemic, and investing in the people doing this work through every challenge the profession has faced.

That's what we're honoring this week.

The Annual Week of Giving runs through September 25. This year, our goal is $60,000 to fund the scholarships, research, and professional development that carry this profession into its next chapter.

📅 September 24 at 12 p.m. ET — The Real High: Substance Abuse Recovery in Higher Education Presented by Madeline Azari (AIMHO) gives you evidence-based tools to normalize conversations around addiction and build campus environments where recovery is supported for students and colleagues alike.

📅 September 24 at 3 p.m. ET — Crossing the Threshold: Redesigning RA Incident Response Training Presented by Caitlin Millard (NWACUHO) shows how a trauma-aware, case study approach produced measurable gains in RA self-efficacy, and how you can apply it on your own campus.
