Community Crime Patrol

02/18/2026

Regretfully, we have ceased patrol operations as of December 31, 2025 due to a lack of funding. We are in the process of selling off our equipment, such as mountain bikes, radios and office supplies. Please send a private message if you are interested in anything in particular. We hope to have a large "everything must go" sale in the next several weeks -- stay tuned for details!

Would you consider a donation to help us continue to keep Columbus' neighborhoods safer places to live, work and play? Rising costs (paying a living wage, insurance and health insurance) and stagnant funding levels are creating a very difficult financial situation for this 33-year old non-profit organization. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help greatly! Give securely here:

To serve Columbus' neighborhoods as safety ambassadors, looking out for residents, visitors and businesses to create a safer environment for all to live, work and play.

Thank you, WOSU 89.7 FM and Allie Vugrincic for this feature on CCP!

The trained civilians who walk neighborhoods at night keep an eye out for everything from missing manhole covers and leaking fire hydrants to fights and shootings.
