“Modified Social Benches”

This was a video commission for Columbus Modern Dance Company for their show “Formation”, inspired by local art of Dublin, OH.

The concept was informed by Jeppe Hein’s explanation of his work as focusing “on problemetizing the traditional relationships between sculpture, viewer and the environment.”

In 2017 CMCo brought you an epic show titled WE, an evening of dance set to David Bowie music and in collaboration with Kristina Isabelle. We capped the year off making an appearance onstage alongside incredible Columbus musicians at Sgt. Peppercorn's Marathon. We had a blast and are proud to be a part of the Columbus Arts community. Columbus Moving Company was featured for the second year for the trio of songs from Magical Mystery Tour: The Fool on the Hill, Flying & Blue Jay Way. Such an honor to collaborate with Joe Peppercorn for this annual Columbus tradition! The crowd's energy is always amazing and gives so much to us in our performance - so grateful!!
