What did attendees take away from CRLC Future of the Industry Shop Talks?

The conversations covered everything from workforce development and leadership pipelines to AI, cybersecurity, energy, and infrastructure. While each table tackled a different challenge, a common theme emerged: the best ideas come from bringing different perspectives together.

Leaders left with practical insights, new connections, and a broader understanding of the opportunities and challenges shaping our region.

The most valuable takeaway was the opportunity to sit alongside people you wouldn't normally meet, hear how they're approaching similar challenges, and learn from their experiences.

That's the power of being in the room.

From workforce development and education to public affairs and community leadership, this week was another reminder that strong regions are built through strong relationships.

President and CEO Derrick R. Clay connected with leaders across the Columbus Region, including Mike Davis, President of Junior Achievement of Central Ohio; Terry Casey, retired political strategist; Clifton R.S. Williams, III, Director of Public Affairs; and Vincent Coleman, Government Affairs Director.

We also celebrate Chamber Board Member Dawn Tyler Lee and Dr. Angela Chapman, Superintendent and CEO of Columbus City Schools, on being honored at the Jewel Awards hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

These conversations, partnerships, and recognitions reflect the leadership helping shape the future of our region—and we're proud to be part of them.
