As we celebrate the beatification of Blessed Fulton J. Sheen this week, may his lifelong devotion to the Holy Hour inspire us to make time for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

🦅 Servant Hearts in Action ❤️💛

Rain couldn’t dampen the servant hearts of the Bishop Watterson High School Girls Volleyball Program during their recent visit to the Bridgettine Sisters!

These wonderful young women and coaches, spent time at the convent putting their faith into action — pulling weeds, cleaning windows, working around the grounds, and even joining the Sisters in the kitchen to cut vegetables for meals being prepared for those in need.

The greatest gift was sharing time in the chapel for noon prayer together! Their time serving and praying with smiles and experiencing firsthand the Bridgettine charisms of prayer and hospitality.

And in one of those little details that reminds us God is always present…the candles on the Sisters’ altar that day were red and gold — Watterson Eagle colors! ❤️💛

Meet our newest little adorer, Charles Francis! 💙

At just three weeks old, this precious little boy is resting in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament—a beautiful reminder that we don’t need words to be close to Him. Sometimes, we simply rest in His love.

Charles Francis was born with Down syndrome and two heart conditions: double outlet right ventricle (DORV) and a ventricular septal defect (VSD). He will need open-heart surgery when he is between three and five months old.

Please join us in praying for Charles Francis and his family—for healing and strength for his little heart, peace for his parents, and wisdom for the medical team caring for him. May they feel surrounded by the love and prayers of our community in the months ahead.

Sweet Charles Francis, you are so loved, and you already have a special place in the hearts of the Sisters. 🤍

On September 8, the birthday of our Blessed Mother, we had the joy of celebrating two very special milestones in the life of our Bridgettine community.

We give thanks for Sister Albina, who celebrated 21 years as a Bridgettine Sister, faithfully living her vocation of prayer, service and love for Christ.

We also rejoice with Sister Jose Mary, who renewed her religious vows for the second time, once again offering her “yes” to the Lord and continuing her journey of consecrated life with the Bridgettine Sisters.

How fitting that these beautiful expressions of fidelity and vocation took place on the birthday of Mary, whose own fiat — her “yes” to God — continues to inspire every vocation.

Please join us in praying for Sister Albina and Sister Jose Mary, that Our Blessed Mother may keep them close to her heart and that the Lord may continue to bless their vocations abundantly.

What a joy to welcome members of Martha’s Giving Circle from The Catholic Foundation for tea and a tour of the convent! The Sisters are deeply grateful for their generous grant supporting their mission and building project. We loved seeing familiar faces and meeting many first-time visitors—and look forward to welcoming everyone back for Mass and Eucharistic Adoration soon! ❤️🙏
