We found this newsletter from one year ago celebrating Paul's graduation from the program. Paul is now our Maintenance Manager (and recently got married)! He helps us steward all of our rental units as well as bringing construction management skills to the buildings we're redeeming as we build a flourishing neighborhood in Beatty Downs. We love you, Paul!

Joe Bates of Patch Wrx is a talented woodworker who creates stunning custom pieces of art. We were honored to commission Joe to design and build a memorial plaque in honor of one of our graduates, Leon Black, a former student who tragically passed away from an overdose shortly after leaving our program.

At our Together Tuesday event, we will officially dedicate the playground pavilion in Leon's name, unveil the beautiful custom sign, share finger foods, hear from Leon’s sister and brother-in-law, spend time in worship, and conclude with a moment of remembrance and celebration of Leon’s life as well as the graduation of Cody, Ryan, and Christian! This will be an emotional and meaningful day for many of us.

We would truly love for as many of you as possible to join us. (Check out this "making of" teaser video...)

Do you remember what summer felt like as a child? School was out, responsibilities were few, and every day seemed filled with freedom and possibility (and hopefully popsicles).

As we look forward to Together Tuesday on June 23rd and the dedication of The Leon Black Pavilion, we especially celebrate the children in the Beatty Downs' neighborhood who will enjoy playing on the playground and maybe even slurping on a popsicle in the shade of the pavilion!

Will you join us in praying that God would open unexpected doors of opportunity—moments of joy, encouragement, and transformation that these children will remember for the rest of their lives?

We'd love for you to be a part of building this flourishing neighborhood through both your prayers and your presence with us at Together Tuesday on June 23 from 12–1:30 p.m.

Do you want to be part of creating a flourishing neighborhood? Join us for Together Tuesday on June 23 from 12:00–1:30 PM!

This special gathering will include the dedication of The Leon Black Pavilion, created in memory of Leon, a former student whose life was tragically lost to overdose before completing the program. Leon's story continues to impact our community, especially those who knew and walked alongside him. We'll spend time in worship, hear stories from his family, share a meal together, unveil a beautiful memorial sign, and celebrate the healing that comes through remembrance and community.

We'll also be honoring three graduates—Cody, Ryan, and Christian—as they complete their journey through the program. Their hard work and perseverance deserve to be celebrated!

Ypu will also have the opportunity to tour our community, including 9 Stoopwood Court, a property we purchased in December that is currently being transformed (take a look at those before and after pics!). We'll share the vision for the building and show the progress being made as we renovate all three apartments.

We hope you'll join us for an afternoon of reflection, celebration, fellowship, and hope. We'd love to hear who's coming--let us know in the comments!

“It was truly our pleasure to spend the day working alongside each one of you. It was so inspiring to learn more about Reconciliation Ministries and hear the powerful stories of life transformation taking place. I got a chance to talk with a couple of your students, and they are just so positive despite all they have been through. That is truly a testament to what God is doing at RM. You guys are awesome, and I hope we get the chance to serve with you again.”
Zach Pollock—McGuinn Homes

If you’d like to join the fun and fellowship, we have another volunteer date coming up on August 1st—we’d love to have you with us!
