Showers and hygiene supplies 🚿🧼
To most people, they're everyday essentials. But at some ACS centers, showers, haircuts, and laundry services offer those experiencing homelessness more than just a fresh start. They help restore dignity, confidence, and a sense of care.

At CCDA annual convention, along with 1,500 other Christian practitioners who uplift their communities every day, walking with people in need and revitalizing communities in the name of Jesus. Through general sessions, field trips, networking sessions, and choosing from over 60 workshops, we are learning and growing together. Next year we will be in Madison, WI.

When young people choose to serve, communities feel the impact. 💙

Nearly 150 young volunteers recently partnered with Adventist Community Services and Adventist Youth Ministries across six outreach projects in Texas. Together, they packed blessing bags, served meals, assembled 1,000 cooling kits, and brought encouragement to families and neighbors experiencing difficult circumstances.

From creating toiletry kits, door displays, and chalk art for more than 100 families at Ronald McDonald House, to sharing warm meals and conversation with unhoused neighbors in San Marcos, every act of service made a difference. Volunteers also helped create a clean, welcoming space and served dinner at the Southside Community Center.

Their presentation, “Practical Steps for Successful Fundraising” will inspire you and provide practical steps you can implement this week to start or revitalize your fundraising efforts. With a ministry perspective, they firmly believe it is our duty as Christians to offer others the opportunity to support the missions we hold dear. Join us with an open mind and your list of questions as they guide us in boosting funding throughout our ACS network.

ACS is fueled by the Holy Spirit and ignited by prayer. This prayer is in the Executive Director’s office at Good Neighbor House in Ohio. She says it each morning before starting the day.
