As September comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to recognize nurses who make a difference here every day.

This month, we celebrated Clinical Nurse Specialist Week, Vascular Nurses Week, Neonatal Nurses Week and Nursing Professional Development Week, recognizing the expertise, compassion and dedication nurses bring to the patients and families they serve.

“Being a NICU nurse is the most rewarding career. Over the past seven years here at JHHCMC, I have learned more than I ever could have imagined and have had the privilege of caring for some of the smallest and most resilient patients,” says Bailee Thomas, NICU clinical education specialist.

"I'm proud to advocate for the best vascular access for each patient and to be part of the team at JHHCMC that makes a difference every day," added Joohee Kang, IV therapy/vascular access team nurse lead.

Thank you to all our nurses for the skill and heart you bring to your work every day. 💙
