🎶 Beautiful music from the Forest Lake Academy Choir and a message from Pastor Andrew Moreno, the academy’s chaplain, made Sabbath morning worship at SAC 2026 a meaningful time of reflection and inspiration.

Drawing from Paul’s experience at Mars Hill, Moreno challenged communicators to understand their audiences, build bridges and remind others who God is. He highlighted the opportunity to engage a generation that is asking questions and open to spiritual conversations, encouraging attendees to value faithfulness over applause.

His closing image offered a powerful reminder: A lighthouse doesn’t argue with the storm. It stands and shines. Amid confusion and competing voices, communicators can remain steady and point people toward God’s truth.

💻 A purposeful website starts with understanding the people who use it.

In “Put Your Users First: Build Websites and Apps With Purpose,” Maxwell Murray Jr., managing director of Research & Design and its life science studio, Radian, guided SAC 2026 attendees through principles for creating better digital experiences.

Alongside technical debt, the old work that needs redoing, Murray highlighted “user debt”: the better content and experiences organizations owe their audiences. Thoughtful design helps people understand, builds trust and makes the next step easier.

Attendees put those principles into practice by reviewing and discussing websites together in real time using FigJam.

🙏 “Listen one more time.”

Friday evening vespers brought the SAC 2026 community together to welcome the Sabbath with worship, music led by Dominique Ware and the Praise Team, and a message from Pastor Jeser Castillo, associate pastor at Sheeler Oaks in Apopka, Florida.

Reflecting on Abraham’s test in Genesis 22, Castillo invited communicators to consider whether they treasure God’s gifts more than the Giver. He emphasized God’s grace, the courage to take a first step without knowing every detail and the importance of continuing to listen for God’s direction.

For those shaping the next generation of ministry, his appeal offered a meaningful challenge: Honor how God has led while keeping willing hearts and listening ears open to what He is saying today.

🌱 Healthy habits matter! At SAC 2026, Garry Graham explored burnout, managing work stress and building habits that support well-being.

Attendees gained insight into five hidden drivers of burnout and discovered what may be draining them beneath the surface. They learned practical ways to protect their capacity, support work/life balance and reduce mental clutter so they can lead with greater clarity and energy. Graham also highlighted how faith and community can support restoration from burnout.

📸 Meaningful photographs begin with connection.

Matt Rainey, corporate photographer at AdventHealth and a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist, shared how thoughtful framing helps tell a story and why building trust with a subject is essential to capturing meaningful moments.

Drawing on his extensive experience in photojournalism and corporate photography, Rainey encouraged SAC 2026 attendees to consider both the story within the frame and the relationship behind the camera.
