Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS)

Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS) UCSS’s mission is to improve the quality of life and to spread God’s unconditional love to those

UCSS chose to start its ministry in the village of Bulike because its 4000 residents have nothing, no clean water, medical care, schools, electricity or sewage system. The goal is to help each community become self-sufficient to the point where outside resources are no longer necessary. People will enjoy a higher quality of life and over time will become more tolerant and caring. The vision is to

replicate this model from one community to another using a “train the trainer” approach so that over time all of Uganda is transformed.

Real impact happens when people are equipped, not rescued.

UCSS partners with women and families in Uganda through programs focused on skills, education, and economic opportunity that create lasting transformation.

The work is community-led, sustainable, and designed to restore dignity through opportunity.

That’s the kind of change that lasts. Learn more ➡️ ugandacss.org

Education doesn’t stop with children.

Many women in rural Uganda never had access to the kind of training that leads to stable income opportunities. UCSS programs are helping change that through hands-on vocational education and practical business skills.

These women are building brighter futures, not only for themselves, but for the next generation.

Every new skill learned creates new possibilities.

Earlier this year, women across the UCSS community came together to celebrate International Women’s Day—a day filled with joy, connection, and recognition of the strength and resilience of women in Uganda.

The celebration was more than an event. It was a reminder of the incredible progress happening through vocational training, economic empowerment programs, and community support initiatives that are helping women build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

At UCSS, empowering women means creating opportunities that lead to lasting change.

✨ Here’s to the women transforming their communities every single day.

Poverty isn’t just about income. It’s about access.

Access to training.
Access to opportunity.
Access to a future with options.

UCSS works alongside women in rural Uganda to provide vocational education and economic support that helps families move from survival to stability.

This is what sustainable impact looks like.

✨ Small opportunities can create generational change.

A skill can become a business.
A business can change a future.

Through UCSS vocational training programs, women in Uganda are learning practical income-generating skills that help them provide for their families and build independence.

These programs are designed for long-term sustainability—not short-term aid.

Every class taught creates new opportunities for women to earn, save, and invest in their communities.

In rural Uganda, many women are the backbone of their families—but opportunities to earn a stable income can be limited.

UCSS is changing that through vocational training, financial literacy, and economic development groups that help women build businesses, support their children, and create long-term stability for their communities.

When a woman gains skills, an entire family moves forward.

Mental Health Awareness Month is almost over—but taking care of your mind shouldn’t stop here.

Movement is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to support your mental health. A walk, a workout, a stretch—it all adds up. Exercise can help reduce stress, boost your mood, and create space to breathe in the middle of everything else.

But while many of us have access to these outlets, there are still communities without the support they need—without safe spaces, resources, or access to care.

You can help change that.

Last week, UCSS hosted a powerful stakeholders’ engagement meeting at Bulike Christ Love Community Church, bringing together 160 leaders from the three districts of Buyende District, Kaliro District, and Luuka District.

The gathering created a valuable platform for dialogue, reflection, and collaboration between the ministry and the communities we serve. Leaders from different sectors openly shared feedback on the impact of the ministry’s work within their communities, highlighting visible transformation in areas of spiritual growth, community support, and engagement initiatives.

One of the most encouraging moments came as community representatives expressed appreciation for the consistent presence and service of the UCSS team. Their testimonies affirmed that lives are being touched and communities are experiencing positive change through the ministry’s efforts.

The meeting also strengthened relationships with local leadership. The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) and other leaders pledged their willingness to work closely and collaborate with UCSS in advancing community development and transformation across the region.

Beyond discussions and feedback, the engagement meeting served as a reminder that lasting impact is built through partnership, listening, and shared vision.
