Are you enjoying Jane Lampton Clemens Week! If not, you are not doing some things correctly!

There are plenty of activities this week, including:

Jane Lampton Clemens' birthday is Thursday, June 18th. There will be a birthday cake and ice cream at the Research Center at 11 a.m. to celebrate Mrs. Clemens on her 223rd anniversary of birth.

Come by the RC around 11 to be part of the party! Everyone welcome.

June 14-20, 2026 has been proclaimed Jane Lampton Clemens Week in Columbia, Kentucky by proclamation of the Mayor, Pam Hoots. There will be activities all week culminating in the Mark Twain Storytelling Festival on Saturday, June 20th.

The Jane Lampton Chapter National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is pleased to sponsor the giveaway of a gift basket full of Columbia goodies! It is on display at the Adair County History and Genealogy Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, Ky and includes:
Mark Twain Storytelling T shirt (XL);

DAR members will provide one free ticket for the drawing to each person upon entry to the Mark Twain Storytelling Festival prior to noon on June 20, 2026. The DAR table will be set up on the porch to the LWU Administration Building. Drawing in the LWU V. P. Henry Auditorium before lunch break. Must be resent to win.
