The Bantar people of Nepal are a peaceful community living primarily in the Terai region. Many work as farmers and laborers, living in simple homes and maintaining strong traditions of hospitality and family life.

Their society is largely male-led, and marriage customs remain an important part of community life. As Hindus, many Bantar follow traditional religious practices and may also rely on witch doctors and ritual specialists for spiritual guidance.

Today, there are no known Christian believers among the Bantar people. Limited literacy and the absence of a local Christian community make Gospel access especially challenging, creating a need for clear, culturally appropriate ways to communicate the Good News.

🙏 Join us in praying for the Bantar people of Nepal.

Could God be calling you to missions?

Sometimes the first step is not having all the answers. It is being willing to explore the question.

Pray intentionally. Invite your church into the process. Learn from missionaries who have served in the field. Attend missions conferences and courses. Spend time learning about unreached people groups and places where Gospel access is still limited.

And when possible, go. A short term missions experience can help you see the realities of cross cultural ministry firsthand and give trusted leaders and experienced workers an opportunity to speak into your journey.

Discernment takes prayer, community, exposure, and time. As you take concrete steps, continue asking God for clarity and remain open to where He may lead.

Know someone who may be considering missions? Share this with them as they explore what God may be calling them to.

The Baha’i people in Bangladesh are a small religious community with roots in a movement that began within Shia Islam. Their beliefs emphasize the unity of God, religion, and humanity, and they are known for promoting equality across ethnic and social lines.

Their faith recognizes several major religious figures, including Moses, Buddha, and Jesus, as part of a continuing spiritual progression. Because of these beliefs, Baha’is have often faced opposition and persecution from Muslims who view their movement as a departure from Islam.

Today, the Baha’i people of Bangladesh remain an unengaged people group with no known community of followers of Jesus. Their openness to spiritual ideas creates opportunities for believers to build relationships and clearly share the message of salvation through Christ.

Cross-cultural ministry is not a journey you are meant to walk alone.

Throughout Scripture, we see believers called, prayed for, affirmed, and sent in community. In Acts 13:2–3, the church in Antioch prayed, fasted, listened to the Holy Spirit, and sent Barnabas and Saul into ministry.

That pattern still matters.

Your local church is part of discerning the calling, recognizing the character and maturity of those being sent, praying over them, supporting them, and continuing to walk with them throughout the journey.

A calling may be personal, but it is not meant to be lived out in isolation.

If God is leading you toward cross-cultural ministry, invite your church into the process from the beginning.

The Alawite people are a distinct community primarily found in Turkey and Syria, with a long history shaped by both religious identity and persecution.

Their beliefs include elements that differ significantly from mainstream Islam, including ideas about reincarnation and a strong sense of being a chosen people. Because of past persecution, many Alawites have historically kept their beliefs private and publicly identified as Muslims for protection.

Today, many Alawites still live without meaningful access to the Gospel. Reaching them requires trust, long-term relationships, and believers who are willing to communicate the love and truth of Jesus with humility and sensitivity.

As we learn about the Alawite people, may we remember that Gospel access is not only about geography. It is about whether people have someone near them who can clearly share the Good News.

🙏 Join us in praying for the Alawite people in Turkey.

There are places in the world where the question is not whether people will respond to the Gospel.

The question is whether anyone has gone.

Entire communities still live without a sustained Gospel witness among them. No local church making Christ known. No multiplying body of believers carrying the Good News from family to family, village to village, generation to generation.

That reality should move us.

At Crossover Global, we focus on planting multiplying churches among unreached people groups where Gospel access is still missing.

The task is still unfinished.

And thousands of people groups are still waiting.

The Yagnob are an ethnic minority in Tajikistan with a history shaped by hardship, displacement, and resilience. During the Soviet era, many were forcibly resettled from their mountain homeland to lowland cotton plantations, where they faced difficult living conditions and labor demands. In more recent years, some families have returned to the Yagnob Valley, seeking to preserve their community and way of life.

Today, the Yagnob are predominantly Sunni Muslim. While Christian resources are available in Tajik, there are no known followers of Jesus among them, and Gospel access remains extremely limited. Their communities also continue to face practical challenges such as limited education, medical care, and employment opportunities.

As we learn about the Yagnob people, may we remember that Gospel access is still not a reality for everyone.

🙏 Join us in praying for the Yagnob people of Tajikistan.

The Waimiri-Atroari are an Indigenous people living in Brazil’s Amazon region. Their way of life has long been closely connected to the land, nature, and their traditional beliefs.

Their history has also been marked by painful encounters with outsiders. Infrastructure projects, displacement, and outside pressure have disrupted their communities and challenged their autonomy and traditional way of life. Today, they continue to preserve their identity while adapting to changes around them.

Among the Waimiri-Atroari, there is still no known community of followers of Jesus. For a people whose history has included deep wounds caused by outsiders, Gospel access requires patience, love, cultural sensitivity, and long-term commitment.

As we learn about the Waimiri-Atroari, may we remember that every people deserves the opportunity to hear the Good News in a way they can understand.

🙏 Join us in praying for the Waimiri-Atroari people of Brazil.

Many are still waiting to hear the Gospel for the first time.

Not because they are unwilling to listen, but because there is still no local church, no believer nearby, and no clear point of Gospel access among their people.

That is why cross-cultural workers are still needed.

Workers who are willing to go, learn the language, understand the culture, build relationships, share the Gospel, make disciples, and help establish churches that can multiply from within the local community.

The need is still great. The question is personal:

Will you go?

Join us in reaching the unreached through the planting of multiplying churches.
