I’ve bitten my tongue for a while on this page because I never wanted Standing For Stephen to become about anything other than Stephen.

Watching everything that’s happened lately has honestly been deeply disappointing.

Standing For Stephen was never about book deals, TV shows, documentaries, reporters, attorneys, podcasts, or social media. It has always been about Stephen Smith.

I truly hope the lawsuits, sanctions, public disputes, and all of the controversy surrounding people connected to Stephen’s case do not become distractions from searching for the truth.

Stephen deserved better in life, and he deserves better now.

I started Standing For Stephen because his voice and story deserved to be heard. Together, we made sure he received the dignity of a proper headstone, but our mission was always bigger than that. It has always been about seeking the truth, demanding justice for the Smith family.

That hasn’t changed, and it never will.

Please keep Stephen and Sandy in your prayers. No matter what else is happening, Stephen should always remain the focus.

If you’ve followed this page because you believe Stephen deserves justice, I simply ask that we continue to keep the focus where it belongs… on Stephen.

Accusing Buster of involvement in Stephen Smith’s death without evidence harms real people and distracts from finding the truth. Everyone should support facts, verified information, and justice for Stephen — not rumor-driven narratives. 💚
